No restrictions. Do you just need to able to dial in? From the stories I've heard about California labor law I'm surprised they can do that without offering compensation. I had gotten the idea that most regulations strongly favored the workers over the companies.

It's going to be heavy traffic there as the other entrance from Tioga pass is still closed

Exactly. They want you on a leash they need to compensate you for it. Sounds like they want everything for nothing in return. Your manager needs to go pound sand....

This is the language in my CBA. When called in we get a minimum 3 hours of compensation unless call in is past 3 hours then actual time worked.

Its a BIG company with lots of lawers, I assume they have their assessment covered.
It's a personal thing, they used to pay to have people on 3 shifts, then 2 then standby pay now nothing. If we go in they pay 3 hour minimum. I signed up for tomorrow doubletime.
Woohoo! Welcome, don't wait, come on in...Mongo just pawn, in game of life
Yep, that's close to the California code.

Found out this morning in an email that I am on call this week, thought it was next week. New automated system is a lot harder to deal with than a spreadsheet.

Easy enough to take care of on call pay. Exempt. Salary. Non Exempt doesn't mind it so much. They say that it adjusted in with our salary already. Some teams get a lot more calls than others. We don't normally get that many calls but we get the same pay. With that said getting ready for hell week with huge changes going in place. But can always be worse.

Thxs for the welcome guys. As I said I'm on the short countdown to 50 but about as mature as a 18 year old...so I apologize now if I still laugh at farting and other bodily functions we are about to lose control of
Anyways ..I've been married for 28 years 2 boys both college graduates one with a good job the other is in background with several Police departments here in Orange County CA. I work for Disney in Anaheim....so if you wanna go hit me up. Any day but Tuesday or Wednesday since that's my weekend and I'm usually headed to the desert or mountains on those days. Been a mechanic my whole life...worked in aviation for 18 years and here at Disney for almost 15. Enough about me now.
Saw some talk about the eastern sierras. I'll be hitting up that area a couple of times in the next couple of months. Especially now that I will be getting a RTT for my 50th. It's sitting in a box in the garage. Wife said no playing with it till next Sunday....though it gives me time to build a rack for it. Ive got a pretty decent build thread linked below if you care to look no reason to bore you with details here.

I have a lot of down time here at work so I usually pretty active here on the forums. So I'll be around to contribute to the banter.
