    Just venting so be prepared for a lot of non-logical stuff.

    ::Gets on soapbox::

    I freaking hate dealerships!!! Last oil change of my two years free crap from buying the truck. Called Tuesday last week to schedule. Could only get in today. Was told I missed my oil change by three days this morning, it closed on the 30th. Now, I usually do my own oil changes, and the damn dealership is 30+ minutes from where I live but hey, I figured free was free right?

    Now the punk kid wants to sell me their oil change package instead of figuring this out. Of course...

    And, I have to initial something that says the dealership is not responsible for damage to my vehicle from the car wash because (and I quote the punk kid) "It's not our employees who would have caused the damage, it would be the machine".

    No lack of ownership here. And I know crap happens, but I highly doubt the dealership is strapped for cash and if they mess my crap up they better fix it. This is probably some lawyer-fed way for them to avoid litigation but it's awfully damn arrogant.

    Moral of the story? Do my own damn oil changes and car washes. Down with dealerships in my state.

    ::steps off soapbox::

    Update, service manager said he would "let it slide" and covered it under warranty.

    Little rebel me....

    Ranting about my experience in the dealership so I could blow off a little steam.

    My apologies if I upset the TW gods.....

    I'm a bit confused about as to what has actually happened, but as long as you feel better I guess that's all that matters lol

    Sooo..?

    Does your rant make you a fair target? Are we supposed to worry about your feelings? Are you going to get offended and create another rant thread when you get hit in the "feels"?

    Just trying to find the boundaries here.

    Man, we could have some fun with this thread...just need a green light!

    Just venting. Didn't have my damn cup of coffee yet, didn't have breakfast yet. Just woke up, drove, had a tiff, and came to TW to vent and posted before my wife could stop me.

    Not sure there's feelers to hurt. Been a high school Algebra 1 teacher in one of the roughest schools in my city. Before that Uncle Sam taught me a thing or two about lack of emotions.

    So, is this a BS thread yet? Or am I too early?

    Hopefully someone makes enough popcorn for Michael Jackson before he arrives.

    Sounded pretty damn clear to me. They tried to bullshit him out of a free oil change paid for by Toyota as part of his vehicle purchase (i.e. Toyota Care). Then some idiot who makes minimum wage (which is probably $15/hr) gave him a line of shit about how their car wash is a piece of shit and they won't be liable for any damage it does to his truck.

    After complaining the OP convinced the manager to uphold their end of the bargain on the Toyota Care package (which Toyota reimburses them for anyhow).

    I didn't use any of my free oil changes. Bought 2 cases of OE filters online and waited until it was time to do my first one. I remember a thread on here where some guy had his done and they forgot to put the oil back in it. Computer shut the truck down and they gave him an extended warranty for his troubles. I'd rather do mine in the time I can drive to the dealership and find an empty chair with my complimentary soda .. or lemon aid .. or whatever. I don't like dealing with those people when I'm buying.. I sure don't want to deal with them after I've bought the truck.
