Adding backup sensors?

Recently purchased a 2017 Tacoma TRD OR and love the truck with the exception of the downshifting on the slightest grades with cruise set but I will get used to it. Otherwise truck is perfect for my first truck. Easy to drive, decent mpg, and looks great. But is it possible to purchase the parts required to add back up sensors? Recently priced doing this for my fathers truck so it got me wondering if it was possible to do it for mine or is it only possible to get them with the package they come with?

 

The camera is a pretty damn good sensor for backing up. What did you want the other sensors for? The audible beep?

 

The alarm is much more effective then the camera. Often I hear a long beep and am looking at the camera wondering what it's blabbering about and then a you see a person or a car move across. While the camera is a handy feature a camera alone would be nowhere as good as the sensor/camera.

 

Personally I hate the sensors ESP in winter when snow and ice always freeze over them even rain played games on my last truck with them

 

Get your wallet out, they aren't cheap.

I was hit from behind in my '16 TRDOR and one of them was damaged. The entire repair was $4900. The blind spot sensor was $785 and the parking radar sensor was $448. That's the connecting wire hanging down in the photo. I picked up the damaged sensor from the street.

 

Mainly I'd like the beeps but 450$ for just one sensor is nuts. Pricing it all on my fathers truck was about 370$ and that was 4 sensors, bumper with the cutouts, and new new bumper cap.

 

Vbpiper does these sensors have an audible beep? The ad did not say so I was not sure. I would like to add sensors to the front possibly. I have a steel bumper though so not sure about their bit to drill the holes.
