    Hello TW,
I'm a new (used) tacoma owner. I just purchased a 2000 extended cab prerunner and I could use some help. I need to buy some new tires for the truck. I've searched the forum with no luck. The truck will be used for the most part on the streets. What tire would you recommend? It currents has Bridgestone dueler ht 265 65 17.

I recently researched tires to a great extent. I chose the Yokohama Geolandar G015. Are you by chance a RUSH fan?

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Depending on how much $ you are willing to spend and exact type of tires (off roading, normal street driving, etc.) I'd say choose from the following top brand choice's (just to name a few there are others).

    Michelin LT* Tires
    Toyo LT Tires
    Yokahama LT Tires
    BF Goodrich LT Tires
    Dunlap LT Tires
    Copper Tires

    *(LT-Light Truck)

Definitely stay away from "any type or brand of Firestone or Bridgestone tires"
and since you already have them on your truck get rid of them quick!

    Pbird,
Yes I'm a Rush fan. Great music and great sound from a 3 piece band.
I was looking at the geolanders how do you like them?
    Tex,
Thanks for helping me narrow my focus. Unfortunately truck will be spending its time on the street.

I have them ordered, but haven't gotten them yet. RUSH is one of my favorites. I'm reading Peart's books now.

Which book are you reading? I've read part of Ghost Rider. I had to stop. I know he was in a bad place when he wrote it. When you start to look down on other people as being less then you or a loved one is I start to thing less of that person. If that makes any sense to you.

Yes, I have read Ghost Rider, and I understand what you are saying, but he does eventually escape that negativity (I thought the same thing while reading it). He acknowledges later that he is not the same person as he was soon after the events that put him in that state. I have also read Far and Away as well as Far and Near. Very different tone for those books, and it is clearly evident he has found happiness again.
