so i took my truck down an forest service road last weekend when starting up the first hill climb my truck began losing all power and regaining it again after a little bit or feathering the gas pedal i noticed worked a bit faster.. also my break lights had been staying on the entire time and even when truck was turned off same deal.. checked fuses seem fine, however if i lift up on my break pedal the lights will turn off and if i leave something under it they will stay off the entire time my truck is off, once the block is taken out they fire back up.. as for the power loss, i opened up my air intake to check the filter found a bunch of old blackened dog food in it and a very dirty filter could be that a rodent brought some food up in there and a potential nest.. could this be the issue? I've since replaced the filter and next step is to check the rest of the tubing for any more rodent nesting evidence so far truck is working again and i haven't lost power since this morning before i changed the filter..

i pulled out my break light switch and if i push down on the little button the lights will turn off but when i put it back in the lights stay on is this a problem with the switch or can my break pedal be adjusted so that its pushing the button in all the way when breaks are disengaged
