I purchased my 2010 DCSB 4x4 v6 a three weeks ago and it's in excellent condition, my undercarriage and suspension are so clean that you can eat your lunch on it. It has all dealer maintenance records and is an excellent truck. My wife and I are both really happy with it.

Went for a drive on the evening of the 4th and unfortunately there was a 50-60lb dog in the road that was unavoidable, it was the dog or hit another car. I've never hit a large animal before and I feel fucking terrible about it since I too am a dog owner/lover, brought a grown man to tears. The impact was 100% driver side f/r tires, there is no trace of any impact to the bumper or metal. No hair, blood, stains anywhere on the carriage or suspension. Absolutely no damage anywhere.

Took my truck into pepboys today to get an alignment since it has brand new ko2's, got the lifetime alignment for $149. My alignment was pretty much spot-on, a little off on the caster but the tech adjusted it to spec.

The tech did say that during the test drive he noticed a small amount of steering memory and having to assist the wheel back to center. The tech said it was minimal but recommended that I have it inspected at some point in the future to prevent any further problems.

I drove home approx. 20mi and the truck felt back to normal, rolls smooth with no veer or pull. I kinda understand what the tech was talking about but it's nothing major. I figured it could be because of the upgraded front suspension (adjustable 5100's) that level out the truck or just the trucks natural handling with the larger wheels/tires 275/70/17?

I should add that the steering doesn't feel any different then the day I bought it.

If it feels normal to you then roll with it. I've seen some bad memory steer before. From what you described I wouldn't worry about it until your rack starts leaking.
