Clean VHF/CB radio installs

4watt 8 ohm pa speaker. Will get it tomorrow. Will see how load it is. Gonna use it on the trails to communicate with a spotter if need be. Instead of yelling. Talk through it.

 

Yeah it is. I'm the type go big. I'll have it if I need it. But upset if I need it and don't have it.

 

It's was around 800.00. To modify to cb and tune up and clean it up. The antenna is a siro roof mount. Nice little setup. But when wheeling gonna unhook the roof mount from cb and use the 3ft firestick.

 

What kinda range are you getting? Did you put an amplifier on the unit itself to get the wattage up

 

I'm running a cobra 29 lx le 50th anniversary edition, the only reason I'm running one that nice is because I was at a cb shop and someone had just bought a $700 cb and decided to literally just give me their old one

 

Yea too pricey for me, with an amp im shooting for ~$150

 

It has a built in 400 watt amp in.

What is loud? Mine will be hooked up Sunday.

 

Loud is I can yell at the car three cars in front of me doing 70 on the interstate

Well goddamn they will!! I seen on Amazon they have a 50 watt speaker. But u need a amp to drive it.

IMO this is the best place for antenna, my swr is 1 on all channels with wire run to frame. Ran ground along coax wire
