Has anyone used these to fly a flag? I'd be interested in what you used along with these mounts.

@Silverspool did, I believe he used a PVC pipe and some u-bolts to hold it to the mount.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
i just used some 1 inch u bolts and 1 inch dowel. I put a bolt through the dowel between the two u bolts to make sure the dowel/flag cant fly out of the mount

Are the brackets steal or aluminum?

They are aluminum. I have had my hi-lift mounted to these brackets though a 4 day drip though big bend, and a couple OHV park wheeling trips, with zero problems.

See the first post for more info.

    For sure!
So for the universal brackets there are 2 options
    1. bare set $30- they will not be painted and you will have to buy all the hardware needed to mount the brackets to the bed rails and whatever else you plan to attach to the brackets.
    2. panted set with mounting hardware $40 - they will be painted black and come with (x4) carriage bolts, washers, and nuts for mounting the brackets to the bed rail.
There is more info on them in the 1st post.

I do not send them with t-slot nuts, i send them with 1/2" carriage bolts that fit inside the tracks. I offer them bare for a cheaper price so that you can buy the paint and hardware yourself from your local hardware store. It gives you the option to customize them to your personal liking.
