    0705171832.jpg Hello all!
I just bought my first new vehicle ever, and it also happens to be my first Tacoma. I have already begun working on making the Tacoma mine, it is a 2017 TRD Sport V6 6MT short bed. I will put some pics in the "what did you do to your Tacoma today" thread, since I did a lot the last two days.

I purchased the used NFabs and they need some touch up so I decided to sand them and repaint. I used rustoleum primer after sanding, and then used bed armor bedliner to finish them...
I first sanded them by hand in my backyard on sawhorses in good light to see all rough spots. I thn moved them into my carport and hung them up from my kayak hangers to get a good position for treating/painting all sides.

I did put the bedliner on super thick, I was more concerned with getting a heavy coat as opposed to making them look smooth and beautiful. The duplicolor bed armor had mixed review. I seem to have had success with it, but I can share a few notes on it.
    1. It does come out thick, like cheez wiz.
    2. Shake the can a lot.
    3. Move the can constantly.
    4. Do not monkey with gobs too much it will level out.
    5. Shake the can more.
    6. One you start spraying with a can, Do NOT stop.
    7. Have tools and other items ready to empty the can on.
    8. Let it dry, when you think it is dry...wait longer...I went 36 hours before installing on the truck, and made sure to wear nitrile gloves still.
When thinking about where to spray next...shake the can

I know many have already added the OCD organizers, but they are definitely worth it. I ordered mine from Amazon and they really do make the center console much more useable.
My last vehicle before this was a honda pilot...when I traded it in there were so many things buried in the center console...

Welcome aboard. I plan on taking my NFab steps off and repainting. Yours look like they came out pretty well. Think I'll go that route.

I did paint the boards on a very hot day, and did still have to wait a long time for full dry. If you have an advance auto parts near you, the bed armor was on sale on Wednesday 2 cans for $20, seemed good. The directions on the can said not to paint in direct sunlight, that's why I put them in the car port.
