    @Chickenmunga @snowgod06 @penguins_cc

Rob brought a crapload of wood and showed the fire pit what was up.

    Camp shots

    Random

Walking down to check out the top of Firebreak

...which was looking a little rough so we skipped it.

Lots of mud and water to navigate

Since only 4 of us showed up and Will was behind me, there's a a ton of shots of his rig...

    A little spotting assistance

    Aaaaaand Cedar Tree! Go Will!

More spotting on a tricky part

Getting his money's worth out of his skids

Hey - leave some forest for other people to enjoy, wouldya?

The guys walked down to look at a trail so here's a gratuitous roadside picture while we were stopped:

Here's the top of a run that I forget the name of

This was a fun one - long uphill mud climb with a few rocks at the top to contend with:

We walked down to check out Waterfall. Here's a rocky horror picture show (yeah that just happened):

I think this was part of Archer's. I played it safe this trip and didn't try this one

    ...like a boss.

Come on Will, you can do eeeeet!

"Let's try these just because we have them"

    NONE SHALL PASS!

    Ready, set...mud!

Well, that's not working so well, so time to bust out the winch!

This one was super deep - I took the right side instead and that worked out much better

We got to the top of a trail and we stopped while Mike navigated down the next section. At that point, Will's rear end (of the pickup) locked up. We thought the pumpkin exploded, so quite a bit of time was spent disconnecting the drive shaft so he could at least 2 wheel it back to camp...

Always carry a Rob in your tool kit

    And Kettle Corn

It turned out that it wasn't the pumpkin...now we're suspecting the E-Brake was locked up.

After letting it sit for a while, normal operations returned. This seemed heat related to me.

Waiting to see if he'll make it down...

    Success!

    (Chevy)

So we're hanging out at camp on Sunday morning waking up and making breakfasts when a dirt bike rides up. This rather animated and loud young man asks for assistance because his "buddy went off a trail and is stuck".

Once again, when help is needed, TW is there!

We hop in the Tacos and go find the spot. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Pulling his rear end sideways so he could just back straight down...

And here's one of Rob's beast:

Broken right front hub, no recovery gear, no recovery points (unless leaf springs count)...shouldn't have been on the trail at all.

IIRC the picture doesn't capture the difficulty because there was a serious group of boulders at the entrance to the trail. Also that part in the middle that goes around the tree looked especially brutal in person. I know you'd give it a shot though Brian!

I think I have two videos sitting on the phone, I'll try to get them up this evening instead of installing my cool bike goody that came.
Trails that were mentioned as unknown - crushers, Archer's Rock Garden.

YouTube is not being nice with the video uploads, so have some pictures instead

"Objects on film are bigger than they appear". This actually does a fair job on conveying the size of things, however.

A hard lesson learned. Get that recovery gear before you get in trouble, and don't wheel alone. Good thing TW was there Sunday morning!

Ah man...we used to have a beach house about 20 minutes west of Tillamook...but this was before I had my truck. Ah well. Looked like fun!
