Looking at replacement phones on eBay

So many faithful Galaxy S6 Active took on some moisture damage after swimming on the 4th of July and I'm in a market for a replacement. I liked the phone a lot so I planned to jump to the next active model out now, the Galaxy S7 Active. ATT and Best Buy want $700 for the phone, but I found one that looks promising on eBay. It's new (other) which means it may be missing packaging or be opened but it's promised to be in new condition with zero use. Seller has excellent feedback and I'm sure, as always, PayPal and eBay would side with me if there were issues. It's significantly cheaper at $300, anyone have some experiences they could share to persuade or dissuade me either way?
