I say try it and let us know. I would have to buy ramps since I don't have them. On too the slipping point you could wrap them in an old snowmobile track for grip. I wish I just had these items laying around and I would just try it myself.

They work, but don't be in a hurry to top off and go anywhere when you start using it.

Finally got the air and water permanently mounted on board. Used a piece of 3/16th aluminum plate and had it powder coated to match the suspension etcIMG_3198.jpg
the plate is mounted to this X member :

Once the finances recover and I slap on a rear tire swinger, I'll be mounting an auxiliary fuel tank in the spare tire well.

Are you running a water pump off the tank?

My water tank is a 100L (~26.5gal) bladder that sits on the bed floor up against the cab. I built a wooden box to hold it in place and secure crap to. I run a 1" poly reenforced water line to a simple ball check valve tha has about 2' coiled at the tail gate.

All I do is hold the valve below the level of the bed and gravity does the rest.

I've been thinking of a 2-stage water filter and a small pump to fix the questionable tap water I top off with from to time.

What is everyone running for water storage/filtration?

It's just hung out there for now, the changing room will be sold with the RTT. We want a screen room to take off our boots and shoes and not get eaten alive by the bugs. It's also really nice being able to leave the back of the truck open and not have a bug-fest when we climb into bed.

Ordered up some led tape lights to wire into the back today.

I'm planning to do something similar. The whole tent just acts like a giant bug trap with the back open.

This looks like an amazing trip.. thanks for sharing! My wife and I are going on a trip up to Zion next week and are planning to camp near Lake Powell one night and Kolob Reservoir the next but now I'm not sure... we may have to check one of these spots out.

That's pretty much what I intend to do. Just get two sheets of netting and clip it to the lip around the overhang, and have the two ends overlap slightly to form an entrance that stays closed with little magnets.

This won't work as well with the habitat as we flip backwards. The room would be nice for tick checks on the kids, undressing after they get all muddy, and with a mesh floor.... solid choice for showering.

Cut them out of your old shower curtain when you replace it. Or if you are a nerd like me, just pull them out of your collection of old shower curtain magnets. :taco:

We used something like this to seal out off the sliding door and back door of our camping van rig. Works really great! We just have it attached with Velcro so its easily removable if needed, but always falls closed and seals when you are done.
