I stumbled on this thread during my search for a drivers front fender flare for my 99 TRD. If you know anyone that has one for sale or have any recommendations I'd appreciate it!

Also, previous owner painted one on, apparently that's not the same haha

    Thanks

I did mean to ask if the holes are still there? I'm not seeing any in the fender.

If it doesn't look like this, the original fender was probably smashed, and replaced with a fender from a base model.

It does not have holes, there was previous damage. Can they be added? I apologize for the stupid question, I know almost nothing about this stuff.

Anything is possible! But the stock clips and holes are square. Hard to cut a bunch of square holes in the fender. Might be better off going with an aftermarket fender flare like bushwacker.

These require you to drill into your fenders, but atleast they are normal
    Round holes.

Or find an entire front fender with flare from junkyard/ebay

I've done a mod or two
It just so happens that I have that flare if you still need one. They are stock flares, but specifically they are the flares from a 98-2000 model. Unlike the 01-04 trucks they don't make holes in the body to attach.

All is not lost. There is enough attachment points under the fender to securely attach flare. You don't need a fender with the holes.

Oddly enough, My '04 Tacoma has a used fender from a non flare 1998 Tacoma. The flare has been attached to the fender liner for over 2 years with no issue.

Another odd thing. My used flare was purchased from a member in Hawaii. I just thought it was funny.

There are often people parting out Tacoma's in the swap shop section. Don't be afraid to go back several months and ask if someone may have one.

I do still need one if you have! How much are you selling it for?
