    Hi there from Canada:canada:,

I've recently had to switch over from a nice Bakflip G2 to a leer canopy. The canopy is bare bones and in need of some retrofit rewiring so I can make it habitable for my pooch.

I have been trying to figure out a shopping list and how to wire some accessories up so I consulted the search function.

unfortunately I am either to blind to find what i need or too electronically challenged to understand:frusty:, so I am looking for some assistance and if successful I will create a nice how to post or video for us challenged individuals lol

From what I have read, I need to run a hot line from the battery (this should be 12 awg min) with an inline fuse (20amp?). with this wire it is also a good idea to run a ground wire or line to the negative terminal on the battery?

I would like to run these wires to a master switch then fuse box, and then to some switches so i can individually power each accessory.

the accessories I would like to power include:

    Fan:

    Canopy Lights:

    Accessory Pannel:

    https://www.amazon.com/Cllena-Charg...rd_wg=kCii1&psc=1&refRID=SX3GB7KD0C6V7EZ8GKPC

I have made a rough jpeg of what i think it should look like, now what I need to know is the following:

    1. what AWG should I use from Battery to fuse box? (I dont intend on running anything big like a fridge)

    2. what would be a good cost effective fuse box?

    3. what AWG should I use for the lines coming off of fuse box?

    4. how do I wire back to the fusebox?? to complete a circuit?

    5. what am I missing?

thanks in advance for anyone that is willing to shed some light and hold a new guys hand through the scary world of auto electronics.

    - Cheers:cheers:

    1. I would use 8-10ga for a run that long

    3.12 - 14ga.

    4. The fuse panel is going to have 2 bus lines, 1 for positive and 1 for negative. All of your accessories should have the ground wire terminated to the negative bus and the positive to an individual fuse. Switches should be wired after the fuse.

    5. You may want to consider a circuit breaker instead of a fuse for the battery power. This will make it easy to shut off all power going back there if you ever have the need.
