    Jack's well hung:
    So I've been putting this off for a while but since I'm not using the bed bars anymore I needed a way to stow my Hilift out of the way in preperation for installing a soft top eventually. I kept it simple and made the cursory brackets to mount to the bed rails, however instead of aluminum I used 2" wide 1/8" steel. They're attached with 2 3/8 bolts and t-nuts then shaped to hold the jack out a little from the bedside yet resting on the ridge inside the bed. This allowed me to mount it level and limitted any contact between the jack and the bed side. The rear bracket is bent out further than the front bracket to alow cearance between the jack head and the bedside. Shaping these brackets out from the bed side also gave me the bennifit of being able to use short bolts to secure the jack to the brackets so i don't have to worry about any of that bending from stress. I really wish I had a brake here at home it would allow me to make these bends much faster and cleaner but at least I have a vice and thank God for that as there's 4 bends per bracket I believe. I did do the bend where the bracket rests on the bed ridge backwards compared to others I've seen which was considerably more difficult but it gives good blunt surfaces making contact with the bed to limit the chance of any damage to the bed.

    Hey Rob how ya doin? I've been on the phone with John trying to figure out campers zChristie and I went shopping today. We didn't get anything and it was quite eye opening but We found a strong contender for an off road camper.

    Doing well Chris. Christie is warming up to the camper idea? That's awesome; I'll be interested to see what rig ya'll end up with. :cool:

    About time to head out the door to work, but had 10 mins to burn, so checked back in on TW. :)

    The Taxa Tiger Moth is an interesting camper. I'm looking at the off road version. It's not one I would go rock crawling with but I have never seen a moore beefy built little camper. According to the website the OR version is also supposed to come with bigger tires, powdercoated gravel guards, road shower, and an ARB awning

    @Casper66
    I remember you saying you drilled your headlights. Where did you drill them? Tired of mine fogging up.
    Thanks.

    I've heard of it before, but have no experience with it. My headlight was foggy, so I just pulled off the lens and resealed with new butyl. Haven't had any problems since.

    I did it with no benefits... but my lens is cracked so I guess I'll never be able to get rid of the fog...

    Tool mounts:
    Made my tool mounts for shovel and axe inside the bed. I'm not sure how everybody else has done it but I decided to just keep it simple. I just made straight brackets with 1 bend at the bottom and 1 3/8 mounting bolt at the top. Sill used 1/8" x 2" plate steel for the bracket.

    Thanks it should be practical and keep things out of the way yet easy to retrieve ( I hope)
