So after 61 days on the Dealers lot wanted put a coat of wax on my truck. Cleaned up nice but have little pumps to the touch all over hood and cab top and my shell. Feels like some kind of pollution was baked into the paint while sitting in the hot Sun all those days. Suggesting on how to rub this shit out?

Need to clay bar the paint, it'll get rid of them, unless it's damaged...

I've gotta say, not having my truck these past almost two weeks (as of Monday), has really made me appreciate it. I'm sure part of it is how much I hate this Rav4 loaner, but I've genuinely never missed one of my vehicles this much.

Toyota should be forced to shutdown Tacoma production until the recall parts are at all dealers. Anyone that has a truck at the dealer for a long time, file a complaint against the NHTSA

I just went thru my first 40days or so with the rental from enterprise its a fully loaded f150 and the delaerships get s steep discount around $40 a day where if you or I would rent it it would be about $100. Still not cheap the total for 40 days was about $2000.

I read something about "clay bar" is this it > Meguiar's C-2000 Professional Detailing Clay, Mild and it was suggested to use this first >
    Meguiar's M34 Mirror Glaze Final Inspection - 16 oz

Thoughts on the process is appreciated. But, I am going to call the dealer Monday morning and bitch at them and see if I can get them to fix this bumpy mess...

I stopped by the dealer just the other day. Asked the status and was told they ordered the parts but do not have an ETA on when they would arrive but when they do it should be no more than 1 - 2 days. I asked them so did you see if my fluid was lower than 2ltrs as stated in the recall process and they said the parts list came in and they ordered the parts. I said you ordered all the parts so that you would have them in case you need them? They stated they ordered the parts they were given on the parts list. I said ok so the new 28 ft tq bolts the guy says no its 18 ft tq bolts I said Im pretty sure the order says 28 he says dont believe anything you read on the internet! LOL

I am sure this has been asked somewhere in this 100+ thread but don't these that have been stored for over 30 days qualify for Lemon Law buy back?

In many states, many dealers have that paperwork that is 10 pages long that everyone signs about arbitration in the event of a dispute, in many cases this abolishes rights under the lemon law because the customer agreed to this. Now, the customer really didn't agree because they really weren't told what they were signing. There are lots of loop holes in the lemon laws and recalls fall into that loop hole. Depending on the state depends.

This ^^^ is in part why the last time we bought a new car was 26 years ago (a 1991 Cressida). 99.44% of our laws are made by lawyers--whose interests do you think they hold most dear when making these laws?

Technically, shouldn't you change your signature to a Rav4 now? ;)

The heck with that. Make the dealership detail it for you. That's the least they could do. I am going to make the service
manager where I have my Tacoma at do a complete detail on Toyota's dime.

They did mine without asking or making them. I think even they were ashamed of the whole process.

Hey if you can get a full detail, then right on. It wouldn't be something I personally would count on, though.

Im glad I put a nice thick coat of wax on mine before dropping it off. I also took pictures and videos of the trucks condition before I dropped it off to them. Im sure it'll be dusty but unless a porter wrecked it or used it to drive home at lunch everyday then it should be ok.
