Does anyone know off hand if the 20% off coupons are accepted on the toolboxes? At work but can call tomorrow if no answer. Looking at getting a 42 or bigger for the house

Read the fine print in the post above yours.

I just picked up a 12V transfer pump for draining/filling tanks on the travel trailer. At $32 after coupon I'll be happy if I get 2-3 uses out of it.

I'm a BIG fan of the Ryobi One+ series. While I'm sure it's not as good as the DeWalt, the price is right and I use the 1/2 impact all the time

I use Dewalt and Milwaukee power tools personally and professionally and they are awesome, especially Milwaukees warranty. But i do have ryobi battery powered lawn mower (2 small lawn areas) weed wackier and leaf blower and they work great.

If I was using this stuff professionally, I'd be using the same brands you are. For the DIYer, hobbiest and truck tools Ryobi is HARD to beat. Overall I think they have the widest array of tools out there for the same battery packs. Later this year they should be releasing a 6 and 9mAh battery pack which will help them a lot.

Soon pnematic tools will be pretty much useless for anything other than may 3/4 and 1" drive applications.

Point being, there are too many good options out there to buy Harbor Freight cordless tools. Especially at those prices

That'd be nice, but just doesn't have the power I need. This has 1,200 ft/lbs of breakaway force, which has already proven extremely useful when working on my slightly rusty truck.

I have no problems with using them in commercial construction on several decade old rusted stuff. Plenty enough power.

HF has been introducing a couple lines of Li Ion cordless tools, and by and large I find them to be overpriced given the brand's history--time will tell I suppose. Also the last thing I need is yet another battery pack configuration; my "charger wall" now has Ryobi, Dewalt, Milwaukee (12 and 18 V), and Hitachi...

I was trying to compare the similarly priced 1/2" HF and Dewalt Impacts ($229 HF single battery vs. $259 DW w/ two batteries) with similar claimed specs (1200 lb breakaway torque.) There's no comparison. DW beats HF hands down in the price point.

With DW vs Milwaukee vs Makita vs Porter Cable, etc., there's a blurry line that differentiates these tools.

When it comes to cordless li-ion tools, there are only 3 companies everyone buys batteries from. Lower end tool mfgs buy a lesser battery and save money there. The other benefits of buying a "pro" tool brand is the breadth of tools on the platform as mentioned (Makita has the most 18V tools because they have had the same platform the longest) and warranty. Warranty, to me, also includes availability of authorized service centers so you could get parts or service locally if possible. I have plenty of harbor freight tools, but I buy better quality when it comes to power tools personally.
