I wanted Chiesa to win, and I was pissed watching that stoppage BUT after seeing it again, Chiesa was done. I'm not sure why he would'a of stopped hand fighting the choke and just hold his hands out in front of him if he was still in it. He was mostly likely going out with maybe a few seconds of consciousness left. There is a tiny chance maybe he was relaxing to explode somehow out of the position, but given the body triangle and the grip on the rnc, he wasn't going anywhere. Where you going? Nowhere. As far as Yamasucky, he is still the worst ref on the roster. I hope to see him let go soon.

So glad Whittaker won. I can't stand Romero's cheating ass. He will do anything he can to gain a few extra seconds to recover. Rest of the card was slightly disappointing. The finale on friday turned out to be the better card IMO.

 

LOL, I was definitely on the laughing side for sure. That guy kills me. "Uh, 33+15, thats like fifty something." Kid is an idiot but you can't deny is heart. Was prob the UFC's best case scenario for the whole redemption theme of the show.

 

The Nunes fight getting scrapped didn't help either..

Overall it was a pretty good card. As far as the main event, I had kelvin winning by knockout. I knew Weidman would have the size advantage, but didn't quite expect the wrestle fucking Weidman gave him. You could really see two different weight classes going at it for sure. I wish kelvin would discipline himself to cut down on his fat percentage. He would be champ at 170. He's just one of those dudes that doesn't train the hardest, but always shows up on fight night somehow. Big middleweights like Weidman are just too big and strong for him.

 

Agreed. Kelvin has missed weight a few times, so I think that's why he moved up, right?! What a shame... he definitely has potential I think.

Wiedmans a bad dude and not to be taken lightly. i mean he did what nobody could to anderson and many other greats in their prime. he def got caught and kelvin could of had him but not to many in the division can roll with that guy. he trains with Serra and that dude is killer on the mats.

Has anyone heard of or follows Glory Kickboxing? Watched it when it was on Spike, but now it's part of the UFC Fight Pass subscription.

Mentioning it because Chris Camozzi, who fought in the UFC and I "met" at UFC Fight Night here in CT, just signed on with them. Looking forward to seeing him there.

 

This is going to be one of the best main card's of the year. Assuming nobody backs out. I'm looking at you, jon "erectile dysfunction" jones.
