@Pelfreybilt Any chance you folks would be able to produce your shock relocation kit again?

I only offer the weld on going forward. It can fit 2.5" × 14" or 12", and it fits with spring over or under axle. It definitely requires wheel spacers, but a lot of owners already have them.
These pics are 2.5" × 14" Fox and still stock 3+1 TSB springs and shackle flip, yes there is 2" droop left on the shock, but I have Deaver SUA springs in hand to install soon

Ah that's cool, how does the relocation feel with soa over stock location?

Almost have my shock relocation finished. I kind of messed up the reservoir hose fittings I asked ICON to install. I'll return them after a few test drives.

The material I used was 4130 2.0" x .188" wall tube and 4130 .190 plate. The shock mounts are from ARTEK Ind. These are really nice .25" thick laser cut mounts. The bolt holes are a perfect fit.
I coated as much of the frame with 3 cans of 3M Undercoat. Please excuse the welds. The welder guy I had arranged to burn in everything could not make it so I gave it a go. I did a lot of test welds on scrap material so I feel they will hold but they are butt ugly.

The reservoir mounts are temp till I have the hoses redone.

So is there any benefit to angling the shocks towards the front vs the back of the truck. In regards to damping abilitie and travle?
    Thanks for your help.

Some more experienced folks will probably have more to say, but in my research I didn’t think which way the shocks were angled (front vs rear) mattered as much as how steep the angle actually was.

I believe the shock offers best performance when they are placed upright.

I don't know if damping and stuff, but cycling and geometry tells me that it is more advantageous to keep them angled from the axle to the front of the bed. I think the issue you will see is that there likely isn't enough room to mount shocks going in the opposite direction of the axle without fear of cramping up the hanger area and what not. I say this, not as a designer/fabber, but an observer where I have had my relocation done towards the front.

Hopefully others can provide more input.

Edit: I say this as I have 12's which are stuffed as far forward as possible to fit underneath the bed.

When the axle compresses it travels backwards due to the shackle moving backwards. So to maximize the dampening effect of the shock you would angle them backwards.

As long as the shocks are within 15 degrees of vertical there isn't a big difference in damping.

A highly arched spring like spring under, the axle will move forward and back farther than a flatter spring, usually the case with spring over Tacomas.

On my setup, my shocks lean toward the engine about 7deg. With spring over, the shock angle only changes about +/- 3°

The more upright they are the more axle travel is relative to shock travel

Im waiting to have the BAMF kit installed with 12" king smoothies, I have OEM springs with toytec 2.5" AAL, toytec ubolt flip, OEM bump and a 1" block. How much of an increase in ride smoothness will I see at speed over bumps? Interested in a mix of crawling and prerunning and will be getting SUA down the road, is the archive garage shackle flip a good idea for me?
