Hello folks. Had duty today and was lucky enough to have someone else take my flight! Thought it was the perfect time to install my new Bedside Reinforcement Brackets from @At The Helm . I want to thank them for the free shipping to Alaska and a quality product!

The brackets came bare, nicely welded and ready to paint. I took Rustoleum Rust converter and did a coat as a primer, I finished it off with 3 coats of flat black. I then installed and took pics of certain points and finished product. The finished product looks amazing and it's functional

**I will say this however, leave the bottom two bolts, the bed bolt and tie down bolt loose so you can square the bracket to the bed. Once square, drill the top bolt hole and work your way down! Also spray some black paint on the bare metal that is visible after drilling.**

I only took pics of the one side. The other is exaclty the same. If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks for the tip. Mine should of been here yesterday. But it's delayed so hopefully tomorrow's project. I'm not excited about drilling in to the side but I use it as a truck so it's for its own good an my peace of mind

The holes are behind the tail lights so least it's not visible lol. The 3/8 bit should be big enough for the bolts

Just curious would it be beneficial to put a plate behind the tail light for extra renforcement? I may be over thinking it also

I was thinking the same thing. Sure it wouldn't hurt but I think the 3 bolts and washers will do good enough. Most people probably don't even install reinforcement brackets anyways.

I'll do the oversized washers. I have excess to those.
