I have HID lights in my headlights and fog lights. Just recently I noticed my passenger side headlight was out. When I turn on my fog lights it came back on and now whenever I turn my fog lights off the passenger side headlight goes out and vice versa. Has anyone else had this issue? Where should I start the diagnosis, I'm going to start off by cleaning all the connections and adding Dielectric grease but I think it's bigger than that.

Previous owner, sometimes the fog and passenger headlight don't work at all. They were cheap eBay HIDs but that doesn't explain why the fog in headlight would be connected I talked to him and he said that they are separate wiring kits with the modules and harnesses

any chance he gave you the wiring instructions or still has them?

My experience with stuff like this typically involves 'starting over' and checking every connection for both proper position and quality.

Fogs are only supposed to come on with low beams. He may have done some form of 'anytime fog' mod that has a problem too.

You may need a relay kit or could be a bad ballast or bulbs.,

It looks like it has full system with a relay. Anyways I was seeing if this could be an issue that others have experienced or it's because of the Aftermarket Wiring.will begin electrical diagnoses in morning

I was having trouble diagnosing because I was getting no reading on the test light or multi-meter. The ballast must have some sort of Fail-Safe, anyways I swapped the bulbs around and it seems the bulb was the issue. Still doesnt explain why it was coming on and off when I pushed the fogs on and off. I just ordered a whole kit from ddmtuning.com I liked the last set they sent me for my chevy

And the previous owner told me it was an ebay setup, but also said fogs and headlights were seperate and he was unaware of the issue

I had this problem back in the day with an old maxima.

I tried for days trying to figure it out, then I said f it. Just ran a wire from the drivers side highlight to the passenger side headlight and called it good.

Remove hids, then throw in trash, then have a beer.
In all honesty. Check every single wire. Check for power when fog lights are on. Maybe he spliced power off the fog light harness.
