    I researched doing this on my truck but read that it's bad due to the high heat, even if you use paint made for this application. I didn't want to risk it, but to each his own!!! Looks good though

    Looks good OP. With the stock TRD fakelocks on mine I would never paint mine, but with your wheels it seems to be a welcome addition to the look as well as the white letters on the outside. I think this is a good move to bring it all together. :thumbsup:

    this makes little sense mainly because all high end sports cars with quality stopping power have painted calipers, but I suppose the paint usually goes to shit, now is it from the heat or from the cleaning product would be an argument maybe idk

    I would venture to guess that toyota simply saved money by not painting our calipers in the first place.

    Looks good. I painted mine red as well using caliper paint; I painted the drums black (truck is black as well).

    Whatever you read was wrong. There are tons for high-heat paints out there specifically for this purpose, and they aren't going to cause the caliper to retain extra heat.
