There are 3 fuel economy readings on my SR5. Trip average fuel economy, tank average fuel economy, and average fuel economy. Tank and trip are self explanatory. Is the average fuel economy for the life of the vehicle? TIA

Would like to add on to this line of questioning. I assume that "trip average" means an 'ignition on to ignition off' kind of trip. Is it possible to obtain a fuel economy reading tied to the mileage trip meter? For me, that would be a far better way to measure fuel economy, but I can't see a way for doing that.

MPG displayed as "Tank Average Fuel Economy" on the HUD self resets when you fill up. The trip avg is just that, IGN-ign. You can check the ODO snyched MPG if you go into Apps>ECO> and look at your past record. If you hit "Update", it will accumulate all previous MPG readings into essentially a Trip ODO MPG and show it as "Average" at the top right. You do have to manually press "Update" button.

I'll check the actual names of teh functions in a few mins to make sure I got them right. Going off memory here.

    EDIT: edited info above.

Thanks for the reply. Seems overly complicated, but that could be the gin & tonic.

I'll look into it further tomorrow.
