I'm bummed that USPS was supposed to deliver today, but my package is stuck in redundant Jersey city. Hopefully the mailman will bring a fun surprise tomorrow and *not* destroy my mailbox again....

@OVTune, PM me your direct mailing address if you don't mind doing so. I'd like to send you something for your dedication and trouble for dealing with all the over-zealous TW members here, myself included. Stellar customer service. I really appreciate when vendors are active in forums and listen/answer questions on a regular basis. $765 is a lot of money, but in reality it's a fair price considering all the work that went into this.

I'm seriously looking forward to eliminating the throttle lag and hopefully being able to adjust the DEFCO on my taco. Just yesterday I was trying to make a quick left turn and my truck basically said "NO" after I let out the clutch in 1st gear. I will also appreciate not looking like a nub that doesn't know how to drive a MT.

Yep, going to wipe out everything I installed and do that again.

 

what windows version are you using. That shouldn't be necessary. It wont install or are you getting an error

Mine worked with 7. Odds you could boot an evaluation version of 7 and load it like that?

 

I had to swap the dongle to another USB port.

 

I plugged it into a few ports, nothing.

Plugged it into my gfs work computer, it detected it. Must be my computer.

 

Posting this for people who may have problems:

USB splitter worked. Some reason the computer didn't detect the USB when connected, but doing it through the splitter worked. Windows 10 (garbage).

did you plug the purple usb in prior to installing the drivers? that can happen sometimes if you plug the purple usb in prior to installing the drivers

Nope, I followed the instructions! I did install everything this morning. I think the problem is with my computer... I hooked it up to my girlfriends work computer and the computer detected it but I couldn't install the software due to the security restrictions (damn work PCs). That's when I realized I should try another USB device. Used the splitter I bought off of Amazon (for my battery charger to go to hawaii) and it worked flawlessly.

Can't wait to get the tune downloaded to my truck!
