16 Tacoma Text Tone

    Ever since I have had my 2016 Tacoma, I have plugged my iPhone in via USB. If I were to get a text while having my phone plugged it, my music would soften and my text tone would sound thru the speakers. The text tone is directly from my phone, not the one from the headunit. Now magically, when I get a text message the text tone does not sound. The music softens but no sound comes thru the speakers. If I get a phone call, the sound still comes thru.

    I have reset my phone, looked thru all the setting, and have tried just about everything I could think of. I plugged my girlfriend's phone in as well and it does the same thing. I'm not sure if I accidentally hit something or what.

    Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thank you all for your time.
