GOOP hand cleaner (in the laundry soap aisle).
    Clay bar.
Both should do the trick. I'll try soap before harsh chemicals every day.

Last time I was at the detailing shop, they were removing spray paint from a car that was vandalized. If you are uncomfortable, you could let the pros handle it. Good luck.

Very good advice. You are not even sure that it is overspray. Why take the chance on messing up a nice truck?

How you solve the problem depends a lot on what kind of paint it is and how long it's been there. I'm not a detailer but I've had my car covered in over-spray before. If you can get it off immediately, it will do the least amount of damage. If it sits on the car any length of time, it will penetrate the car's paint and be much harder to get off without needing to be re-sprayed with clear.

Personally, I'd take it to someone who is familiar with removing over spray.

I actually had approximately 10-12 paint specks on the passenger side of my truck when it was delivered from the factory. Both white and red specks. (silver truck) My clay bar removed some and I used bug/tar remover cream for the stubborn specks. Even with the cream it took a bit of rubbing. No damage to the clear coat but if I had a large area of overspray to remove, I'd take it to a detail or body shop.

Gas should take it off but u will need to apply a good coat of wax after cuz it takes off the old wax as well.

Theres some pretty horrible advise in here LOL

I would start with a clay bar which will probably remove it. If that does not work I would use a buffer with a medium cut compound

Someone in here recommended Oven Cleaner......Im not using anything on my paint that can cause chemical burns. Using common sense one would think you would start with the least aggressive option first and work your way up. That and I have been detailing cars as a side business since 1996, feel free to do what you like, its not my car.

For those that go on forums which is probably everyone reading, this autogeekonline.net is an invaluable source for auto detailing. There are probably 100 threads on there about over spray removal from paint.

Good for you, the cleaner worked for me as recommended by a detail place to avoid damaging clearcoat. trusted it enough on my 5 month old,$11,000 paint job on the nova so would trust it on my tacoma.
The question was any suggestions so I gave my 2 cents. dont like it? MOVE ON.
