    Yeah. My parents aren't that loaded. But they are awesome and ultimately super giving. I pay for everything but that first little bit of help made all the difference. I now own, my mortgage is less than I would pay in rent for the same place, and my equity has gone up 150k in the last three years.

    Exactly. I'm up 150k right now. Wait till the market goes down and have your money ready. Thats how you get a good investment.

    Not to get totally off topic, but my idea of a good retirement, isn't staying at "the Bates Motel" ... which I've heard a bunch weird unexplained crap goes on in those last stop resorts. You or anyone you know complain of anything like that ? Ha, this belongs in the alien bigfoot thread ... but the hauntings seem more prevalent in the retirement communities.
