Honestly, I want one of those for the camper. I'll stick to the 2 bucket wash for the truck.

 

Does it really work that well?
I have a large trailer ...Hmmm

 

I have a corrugated metal sided trailer so it would be a hell of a lot easier to blast it with foam and rinse vs scrubbing the whole thing. I'd probably use it as a pre-wash for the truck also if it was out, then do the double bucket wash.

Actually most of the detailers I know use the foam gun to pre-soak the dirt/car dry then pressure wash it off after a few minutes of soaking then using a pre-clean aggressive cleaner to loosen stuff up. After that they foam gun it again and use a bucket/super soft sponge.

I just use my pressure washer, a bucket of soap and a generic car wash brush from target on my truck. The evo gets the multi-staged cleaning.

 

Check out the chemicals youtube channel. They tell you how to wash using the cannon. You can cannon then rinse or cannon then two bucket depending on how dirty the car is to start. I got the cannon and a gallon of soap concentrate for 60.

 

My question is how long does the soap last?

 

Probably until you rinse it off

I've read on there YouTube comments washing biweekly lasted someone 5 months but it totally depends on how much you dilute/waste I just ordered a kit so we will see

 

so the chemical guys gallon I have has probably done over a dozen car washes with plenty to go. it actually lasts fairly long time

I am concerned about the proposed Resolution that is being considered at the upcoming Pinelands Commission meeting on 7/14. While the maps that are being proposed are the USGS Topographical Maps and are widely recognized as the most comprehensive baseline of roads that exist, nonetheless, I see several unresolved concerns regarding this resolution. They are as follows:

In a previous meeting, the Commission discussed consulting the forest stakeholders before proposing the resolution. This stakeholder group includes various outdoor enthusiast groups, environmental groups, and the Pinelands Municipal Council. To our knowledge these groups have not been consulted.

It is not clear how this Resolution would affect events covered by Special Use Permits. Even some of the forest’s seemingly most insignificant roads are actually essential for the safety and successful running of these legal and approved events. Support crews, emergency vehicles and spectators count on these roads in ways it would be difficult for those unfamiliar with the events to contemplate.

It is not clear that this Resolution will have the desired effect. The DEP is solely responsible for enforcing any and all restrictions to motor vehicle access. Since the failure of the 2015 M.A.P. program, the DEP has taken on a more successful approach of enforcement, education and targeted protection projects. It is not clear that this Resolution will improve these efforts and, in fact, may undermine the progress made by the DEP in gaining the support of the stakeholder groups who, for the most part, currently support the DEP’s protection efforts. Further, the DEP has stated they do not need this map to be able to enforce motor vehicle related violations in the forest.

Most importantly, the resolution does not indicate how future changes to the map will be evaluated and adjudicated. The Pinelands Commission clearly does not have the resources to properly assess any kind of significant volume of proposed changes that may come in the future. It is not clear how the stakeholders would be engaged in this process. Further, some groups will undoubtedly view this as an opening to assail current, legal, responsible access, setting up the potential for a continued and protracted battle for access, which will further consume resources that the Pinelands Commission does not have.

I believe that the Pinelands Commission should table this Resolution and consult with the DEP to see what, if anything, the Pinelands Commission can do to help the DEP better protect the forest.

Good to know. I think I will try this one since I don't have a pressure washer nor would I want to pull one out every time I went to wash my car or truck

 

Oh that's right, it's the Long Trail up there, not the Appalachaian Trail. I should know that, I hiked the entire thing in high school.

 

Get an electric pressure washer. They are cheap easy to use and work VERY well. I have this one...

But to wash a car the 1600 psi one will work just fine for $60 less

 

I agree. I have a very light weight electric pressure washer that works pretty well. I think mine is a Green Works brand and is very small. It sure gets the job done in a hurry though!
