de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!

    Quote from the Jeep thread:

"When I spoke with the Superwinch rep, he said that the LP10,000 was a solid winch and was designed mostly for the weekend wheeler as a budget-friendly entry-level winch. He said it was the same technology as the 8500, but that the EPi Series winches are an altogether different beast. I think if you went with an LP10,000 it'd be more than enough pulling power for most situations and should be ok. I was always sort of dead set on the EPi9.0 and when one came along, I ended up getting it. Some places are selling the EPi 9.0 for only about $40 more than the LP10,000 I think"

... but, remember that for the money, they are an economy winch. Bring marshmallows... and an extinguisher. ;)

I got the auperwonch tiger shark series off Amazon. Still economy brand but has the sealed solonoid. So far so good going through two winters on the front of the truck. Got it for $400 shipping included for a 9500lb.

    Arbdeg run July 27-28/29?
    People going so far
    1. @16yota
    2. @NorilskSever
    3. @SRC
    4. @Buffdeez (maybe if he skips beer fest for run fest if Jakes there :D)
    5. @Jake4848 (late Friday night)

I have a family camping that weekend that I apparently forgot about. I'm out for arbdeg.

I'll be in Bobcaygeon that weekend, and the of4wd is hosting a newbie run. If anyone is down to do that let me know. I'll be about 40mins out from Minden. Going to do a bit more research on the trails up there and the camping situation for guys coming from far.

As long as somebody knows that trail (around the lake) or has a map I am down to go to Ardbeg on those days. Can hit the place on Thursday evening and take that beach spot that was taken by others last time. I need to test my setup one more time before the Burning Man trip in August (If I am lucky to score the tickets at the end of this month) and MOAB trip on the way there. Fingers crossed.

Also, If you guys want the OF4WD is hosting the newbie run on that weekend. Don't know what the camping situation is like though. Ill see to get details. I believe the trail is in Minden. A tad closer.

Edit: never mind that event is full and sold out already....

What do you mean by sold out? Is it a private trail?

I know the trail around the lake, but for anyone that wants to do it. You WILL use your skids if you run it stock.

Not a private trail but if you were thinking of running with the newbie run then yes that is a private event. Also with all the people running around on the trail that weekend it would be mighty crowded.

IF I get the ticket I will definitely write a full report on Burning Man and MOAB for you guys. lol

My skids are painted and ready to be abused again if anything, but with 5100 and your tires I should do better this time around.

I was asking if you have to pay to do the run.

... and what is Burning Man?

(Though I will look it up.)

Edit: I looked it up. They make it sound like a cult and some existential experience in CA. I'll rather save the money and take a logging road in Canada to go speckled trout fishing.

My bad hard to tell peoples tones while reading. It is not a private trail. It's just that the of4wd will be hosting a large run that day and it will be busy. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Fill your boots, dude... and empty your wallet. CA is a trek. You can do that shit in your back yard.

For that matter... I do that in my back yard, but I have 50 acres.
