It's pretty easy if you have the tool for it. Just jack the front of the truck up so the tires are in the air, spray some sort of lubricant (wd-40, 6 in 1) and go for it. Only issue for me ever was not being able to get to one of the holes per revolution because the spacing on the lock screw for the adjusters. So you'll need a punch and hammer to move it an inch to get past that point on each turn. Other than that it should go pretty easy

I use Raamaudio. I've bought so much deadener from them I just call them and tell them what car I'm doing and they make me custom setups. Price is good, material is great.

So I'm sitting at the dealership right now wondering how these people can blatantly lie to people with a straight face like these d!@k heads. Took the truck in because it's got that driveline vibration that everyone complains about. This guy comes out and tells me that the vibration from 40 to 50mph is from the torque converter locking up. So I tell him why does it do it in neutral and why does it not go away when it changes gears? His answer... Toyota's are just built like that. And the low speed vibration you have is because of your tires.
    Unbelievable.

This is really all you need to sound deaden a car/truck. I think mine took 20 hours to do with help from my brother. I ended up doing all vertical walls down, inside the doors, floor pan, 2 layers on the back wall, and much as the firewall as I could get to without taking the dash out. I haven't done the roof still. We did some expanding foam but not much.

Then I covered all the sound deadner (expect inside the doors) with ensolite foam.

This is a good place to get a lot of info on how to do this: http://www.raamaudio.com/pages/How%2dTo.html

As far as sound deadning goes I go another route than the name brand high price stuff.
First layer is Blue skin 100% on all metal. I even put some on the back side of the a pillars , and b pillars plastic coverings. https://www.amazon.com/Henry-BH200WB4559-Blueskin-Self-Adhesive-Waterproofing/dp/B00373PKGGIMG_20170621_103921987.jpg
Second layer is a 1/4 closed cell foam that I buy at a local upholstery shop. You can go even thicker for the doors but 1/4 works in 80% of the interior outer door skin, roof and floor. IMG_20170701_131159964_HDR.jpg IMG_20170621_204649643.jpg
The third layer is also a closed cell foam but only 2mm thick. This goes on the back wall and on the inner door skins.IMG_20170626_202534400.jpg
The closed cell foam is glued in place with contact cement. I bought a gallon for $30 I have used it on two trucks and still have about a 1/4 gallon left. A half gallon should be more than enough for one truck.
All in all I spent about $170 on all the material needed. It took me a week to do it all including a system installation in the hottest week ever. Had to take heat breaks from 1 to 5.

To me the truck is very quiet. So quiet that I expect a speeding ticket very soon because you don't realize how fast I am driving.

Sounds to me like your average service writer's "dude, I've got a lot of customers, if I say this will you please just stop talking to me" shtick.

My 3rd gen jiggles too but after driving myself bonkers and even installing a carrier bearing spacer I realized that it's actually related to road surface. For instance I can hang out at exactly 65 on the 101, sometimes it's smooth as glass, other times I get the steering and cab vibrations.
I think it also has a little to do with my A/T tires but I have no low speed vibes. (2WD 4banger tho)

I had them do my TSB for the tag light moisture and the 10K Toyota care. Dalton was my service dude and he seemed pretty chill. They even gave me 6 qts of 0W20 and a filter when I told them not to do the oil change because I had done it myself ~300 miles earlier.

I think that's one of the sources I was reading. I was searching for what the best light weight deadener is, because if I do throw some in my truck I'm trying not to add too much weight (but maybe I'm just getting my shorts in a knot over nothing):p

Yeah... skip the high lift, 1" of tire size, 40" instead of a 50" lightbar, etc.... do the sound deadener!

:D You have to understand my frame of reference here though, my Miata weighs roughly half what the Tacoma does, and 30 pounds... I took the A/C out to save ~35
