Wiring OEM backup camera to stereo HU

'11 tacoma DCLB TRD sport

recently installed a JVC stereo head unit, ive been able to trigger it to go to camera mode while in reverse. I followed instructions about splicing wires into an RCA plug that connects to the HU. What am I missing?
