Im trying to retrofit my headlights, i removed all the screws , grommets and bulbs but im having issues trying to remove the headlight adjuster.

You dont remove that until after you bake the headlight . The adjusters don't actually leave the back housings.

They stay in the housings but you loosen them to let the reflector bowl come out.
