Hey everyone, spending another winter in the denver area and am looking to escape the city on my days off. I would love to hit some primitive hot springs this winter and this particular one was brought to my attention by some locals. I've checked it out on Google Earth and it appears that there are some 2 tracks right up to the cliff face above the spring. I've also read that driving up to the plateau above the spring is allowed from september-may. Any experiences/suggestions would be appreciated .

I believe there is no more road access on the 2 track. As said, the hike is super easy, but the spring is warm at best in the summer. I would recommend bringing a wetsuit in the winter.

Yeah, the water was warm but not hot a few months ago when I was there.

But, 90 degree water when it's 20 degrees out would be nice.

You have to just hike into it, no road access. Even better, Paddle to it!

Paddling is the way to go! Also don't jump off the cliffs right next to the spring. Float down the river to the lower cliffs on the right. Much safer.

I have seen vehicles on the plateau above, I not jumped off the cliff there but I have been in the warm spring that is a good contrast to the cold river. I do not know how to get to the plateau by vehicle but have hiked in a few ways
