    That said...

Toyota did weird shit all the time. So....best way is to just count yourself.

In general though, 4.30s came with the 5 speed 2.7l and 4.56 came with the auto 2.7l.

I like them a lot. I got them for super super cheap. Was debating about going for one of the more expensive, higher light output versions but the ones I have were on sale and so far they have worked out quite well. They're bright enough to be effective on a dark trail. The only complaint I have is the hardware that comes with them including the brackets all rusted really quickly, so if you have the time go replace it with something that won't. For the $40 or whatever they cost, they have been pretty great.

Ya, I don't need to see 1000 yards down the road, so something like these I think would work just fine for my needs.

I have a '98 PreRunner 2.7l Auto with an A340E tranny. It's weird, when I was looking up parts on online databases to do my 4x4 swap the website did not have an option for "2.7l Automatic 4x4 4:30" which raised my suspicion that I had 4:56 gearing.

Weird Japanese Shit... like the square cupholders in the '95-'00 trucks? Haha.

Got something to monkey around with this weekend. Ordered the ashtray mount for it from Paranoid Fabrications today so it won't be mounted in it's permanent home until that part shows up.

I just plan on utilizing mine to keep closer tabs on temperature and simple things like that as the oem gauge cluster isn't known for being overly accurate.

ATF temp, water temp, intake air temp, and average mpg are what i typically use.

You will likely have to go to the scan gauge website to get the atf code and program it in youself.

I want to know water temp and voltage mostly but MPG and the other performance crap would be nice too.

Installed the front half of my 5100 lift. Gonna put in the 'new' leafsprings on monday, since I'm busy all weekend.

Edit: oh, and right before that I added some mountain bikes to the back. They make it look about 10x better.20170711_211202.jpg

Got this transmission/transfer case from an older gentleman today. He gave me an awesome deal that I could not pass up. He claims that the truck had 100k miles until it was wrecked so he parted it out and debated for a year if he should sell the parts since he has two other tacos. The transmission will not fit on my 04 so I will only be using the transfer case for my prerunner to 4x4 conversion. If anyone is interested in buying the trans, shoot me a pm. We'll work something out. It came off of a 1999 Taco with a V6. I will also be posting an ad for it with quality pictures.
