    Hello,

I recently purchased a 2015 TRD Sport 4.0L with 70k miles. I had an f250 that i traded in, so its been a while since I've had a gas burner.

My issue is, the vehicle is hard to start when warm. It will turn over fine, but will take 5-6 second to actually start. I've only had it a month, so it been hot out. First crank up in the morning it does fine. If I crank it within 30 minutes of shutting it off, it will crank fine. But if I let it sit around an hour or two, it takes 5 seconds or so to crank.

I changed the spark plugs, as the originals were in there, and were pretty worn. They looked good other than being worn down and gapped pretty far. That didn't help with start up.

I'm looking for advice on what my next step should be in the troubleshooting process.

    Thank you for your time

Checked the MAF sensor today. It was pretty dirty. Cleaned it really good, but it didn't not help with my cranking issue

It turns over very strong, just doesn't actually start. But for the sake of covering all my bases I'll check the battery. I've got a load tester somewhere in my garage, but if I can't find that I'll run by AutoZone. Thanks

Didnt get a chance to test my battery today, but I'm going to go tomorrow morning. I did get by Bilstein 5100s in today. Just wanting to level out the front and get alittle smoother ride. Only had time to replace the rears, but this is what they looked like. Now I see why it rode so rough haha. Passenger side is I completely shot, has no resistance or recoil20170711_120305.jpg

Got the battery checked today, and everything was good with it. Still no progress on that issue, but I did get my front 5100s on. Set them at 1.75". Truck looks alittle nose high to me, but it is dead even from ground to the fenders all the a way around. I might do aal eventually anyway so I didn't want to short change the front and have to redo them.20170712_123820.jpg

So I had the battery tested, and everything with it was good. Cleaned the throttle body as best i could. It was pretty dirty inside. Nothing has changed, still taking an extended time to start when its warm out. Going to inspect and clean or replace the PCV valves today. At least I'm getting alot of routine maintenance done that the previous owner neglected.

Pcv valve rattled good, but had a little oil residue so I cleaned it out good. Still hasn't helped my starting issue.

Should I post this in the 2nd gen forum to maybe get more eyes on it

Might be a good idea. Just link this thread, and continue from there.
