I'm on my knees right now taking care of my bad seal. Already about to put the new one in! Wish me luck! I don't want to do this job again!

Ok so now with all what I red about the seal it is supposed to sit flush with the housing... i've been able to put it there with my hands only... I'll put all the pieces back together and do a road test to see if it still leaks. I'd rather pushing it not far enough and be able to push it more than pushing it too far hand having to destroy the seal to put a new one in...

I added some gear oil in the diff to compensate what I have lost this week and also what I lost when I pulled the axle out. For the front diff, spec is 1.6 quarts. Now I added without knowing how much I have lost and when filling I saw it coming through the fill plug... so I have toi much now. With that said, I saw a few post on the forum that sone people are filling the diffa until it dripps from the fill plug... Question is! Is it safe for me to keep my oil level at the plug? Don't want to damage anything, and I don't have spare gear oil now to drain and refill 1.6... and can't be solve until monday when autoparts will open lol

    Any inputs?

Just did a little road test of 5 km and no leaks... I don't want to get too excited but it smells like an achievement!

Yep, that relay is sweet! It lets you run LEDs without hyperflash, and you can do other cool stuff like enable one touch lane change, wig wag hazards, etc.

x2 on just filling it to the drain plug. That's what I do!

about the diode dynamics I red somewhere that it doesn't work with trucks that has already dtrl... I'll have to check more! I gave up on it when the guy said it wouldn't work on my truck but now.... it may be another 60$ to spend! :bananadead:

And for the oil, i am happy now to hear from 2 trusted sources that I haven't put too much! And for now no leaks! :goingcrazy:

That's right, it won't work on trucks with DRLs. You can always delete your DRLs though and get it! I don't know the exact process, but I believe you just pull your DRL wire out of the headlight, and the relay as well.
