Is that the 2001-2004 gray shifter console? I'll take it man. I'll take the tranny too but you're reaalllyy far away!
I'm guessing it didn't fit in your truck since the 2003/2004 model years are drive by wire.

You are correct brother. I actually got the console piece on eBay brand new for 60$, genuine Toyota. I might have paid a lot for it but the inside of my truck is super clean so I had to buy it.

I didn't due this myself, but I had the fuel filter replaced. Due to time and not wanting to deal with that God-awful placement of the filter in a 2.7L, I had the shop do it. Might as well let them do the swearing.

Hello 1st post here. Been lurking for awhile. @Blackdawg and all who have done the GM alt upgrade. I have a gen 2 TRD superchrgr and am in need of a bit more amperage. Will the alt upgrade work with the already longer belt/tensioner required for the superchrgr?

I did the rear brakes again. I should have known better than to use Centric brake shoes. I had nothing but problems with them. They would give the automatic adjusters fits causing the rear brakes to drag. I noticed the e-brake lever pins on the shoes appear to be pressed in poorly. They look bent. I also noticed the material on the Toyota shoes looks thicker.

Despite the rear brakes being done two years ago. I ended up replacing the following with all genuine Toyota:

    Shoes
    Drums
    Bell crank springs
    Return springs upper and lower
    Adjuster springs
    Hold down springs and cups
    Adjusters
    Adjuster springs

So far no dragging and the e-brake has a positive action.

I also flushed the power steering fluid

I always use OEM brake parts. Too important to trust to lower-standards aftermarket.

How much did all this cost OEM?

While I do agree not to skimp on brakes (and tires, arguably even more so), I don't see need to go OEM on brakes, necessarily. There are aftermarket brake manufacturers who offer high end products that are on par with or even better than OEM. As long as you go with one of the bigger, more reputable names in brakes, there is no reason I see to avoid aftermarket. It should be considered, along with OEM. Hell, a lot of OEM brakes are made by the big name aftermarket brands anyway.

    Only a couple of hundy.

It sucks, but I wasn't about take another gamble on aftermarket crap. All the Toyota parts where made in Japan or USA the aftermarket shit that went in the trash was all Chinese.

Did you use a totally aftermarket keyless entry? I've been looking around because mine already has powered locks but no buttons... Been trying to figure this out

    heh. Typical.
Yeah I might go OEM when I do my rears. I figure they've held up this long well enough, may as well do it again.

Engine tranny, and tcase are almost out of my grey truck so that the green truck's legacy may live on. @COMAtized99 since I know you have fooled your auto transmission harness and ecu into believing the auto tranny is still there maybe you can tell me what i need to put resistors and jumpers on since I'm swapping a manual in.

Also I found out I'll have to move my transmission x-member, so that'll be fun I'm sure. Haha this beater will be the death of me
