I do the same to fill differentials, transfer case and manual transmission gear oil until it leaks out the full plug.

You are lucky for the cooler weather! I think i've never seen a beginning of summer fresh like it is this year! I don't complain tho! I din't mind if I don't have the proper weather to swim, i just want to be comfortable at 72* lol

Functional is the plan! I've done very little that has no real function I don't have the money to waste on stuff for looks. At least, not on this

I think the raptor lights in my grill are the only thing I've done with no apparent function but they do look cool

IDK who Casper 06 is but the tag was valid that's funny! I believe the owners manual tells you to fill to the fill hole

LOL! That guy should be like.. wtf who's that guy!?
Red a lot of places that saying 1,6qt which doesn't fill to the fill hole... but here we have a consensus that going to the fill hole is the way to go!

I filled my diff until it dripped. I have done it on all my vehicles when I have done diff oil changes & have never had a problem. Way back when I read that the reason to not overfill was to leave room for the oil to expand when it gets hot. The fill plug is on the side & 3/4 up the housing so I am pretty sure it will have plenty of room to expand.

I believe the correct way to check your fill level would be to remove the plug and see if you can touch the oil with your finger. To do so it'll have to be rt at or just below the fill hole anyway

That sounds legit since there is no dip stick and any way to be able to look in that hole lol thought it was funny tho when my mechanic told me that rear diff has to be change at 50k miles, and front case and front diff, check level... how do we check level if oil is not supposed to be at the plug ?:notsure:

Cant complain my friend. Took my wife shopping and we were minus 1 kid. We almost felt like boyfriend & girlfriend again. Then we remembered the stroller, diaper back, bottles ect and we were back to reality.

    How was yours?

Have you had a chance to launch your boat "Dora The Explorer" recently?

crap that means I need to change my rear diff fluid or have it done when I take it in for regular oil change. I haven't changed my oil in years the dealer only charges me like $12 more than if I do it myself and I spend all week (when I can work) filthy so I let them do it. They also log everything on the computer which is one of the reasons Toyota paid to rebuild the engine in my Scion at 190,000 miles

Toyota has a heart?! How did you manage to get them to fix the Scion with that many miles?
