Can't have them on even if I wanted to. To begin with, I tore 2 of them off-roading, and then they would rub on my tires anyways. But it's a personal thing at the end of the day..

If you really off-road the truck this question tends to answer itself .

    Reverse
    Obstacle
    Flap ejected

Take the flaps off or the trail will do it for you, but violently.

    Not much so far
I didn't have any on it when I bought the truck. Added a set of 12 dollar flaps to the rear. I like the way they look

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
They put nickle sized lava rock down on the roads in the winter so i need them or it sand blasts the lower panels and rear bumper.

I'll keep all four. I've had too many trucks get their quarter panels sandblasted and chipped up to take the flaps off of this one. With the thin as shit Toyota paint, I'm not dealing with that here.

I did have one of the fronts ripped off and eventually replaced both fronts with the shorter husky mud flaps.

After this I removed the corresponding other and prefer the look but will prolly have to replace once I get new tires to avoid being pulled over by an asshole cop for kicking up rocks

Hated how the front ones kept scraping speed bumps.... took them off and the truck looks taller, and no more speed bump scrapes

Back in 1982 when I had my 82 Toyota 4x4 p/up I removed the mud flaps as they looked F'n stupid . Now some 35 yrs later my 2002 Tacoma also looks F'n stupid with the mud flaps so those were removed

These oem mud flaps on the Tacoma's look like semi truck 24"x36" mud flaps

Kill the rigid stock flaps and install flexible flaps in the rear. Nobody likes a douchebag kicking up rocks and breaking windshields just because they think they look cool or are too broke or helpless to install decent flaps.
