The item that sets the off-road model apart from the other trim levels (sport, SR5) is the rear locker. Nice try tho.

I don't think he was attempting to make it have every single feature of the Off-Road. He even says in his first post the off-road wasn't in his budget, but he wanted a few of his favorite features from that trim. I look at this as him making it look like a factory option of somewhere in between. SR5 with a few of the Off-Road goodies like the wheels and shocks. To each their own, I think it is pretty tastefully done.

The best parts of the Off Road are the rear locker, ATRAC on the manual or Crawl Control/MTS on the auto, and the special OffRoad stuff on the gauges. You can't really add the latter 2. You can probably get the larger skid from the off road model pretty cheap, if you don't want to pay a lot for the Pro skid plate.i probably would've just made a TRD Pro clone. Would be cool to see it as an access cab too.

Even if you chose the V6 option, you still would have saved $2k-$3k. Nice job putting together the truck you wanted within your budget. I like it!!!

Great looking truck! I'm still not sure about the Off-Road part of the decal, though.

I think OP got the appearance package which comes with the flairs and different wheel/tires than stock.
And I believe flairs maybe different than the OR, not sure, but I suppose plastidip would work idk but black would be my preference either way.

    Looks good OP!
As long as you're happy is all that matters.

Me, I would have gone with black 17"X8" rims and some BFGoodrich rugged terrain A/T tires as they function & look great, but that's just me and imo which doesn't add up to .02 last time I checked lol!.

    Cheers!

Nice, looks like you took the same route I did... only I cheaped out even harder!

SR Utility Package, sticker 22,XXX! :D It is 4x2 though. I live in the crispy desert where it's not as important.

Got the front bumper painted, TRD OR Bilsteins, Pro Grille, OR Fogs, Fender flares off a black Sport... (I'm eventually going to have some vinyls done to tie this gloss black / gloss white scheme together)

My only quandary at this point is do I grab color matched door handles and side view mirror caps. They're both cheap and readily available pre-painted from Toyota dealers.
I'm thinking side mirrors yes, leave door handles as-is.

I think it looks good, and its your truck, so if your happy, thats good. The only thing I would say is you wasted your money on the stock Bilstiens. You shoulda taken that 100$ and saved up a couple hundred more and got 5100s.

That's not true at all. For the price point & ready availability plus ease of swap (you can find the front coilovers pulled as a unit) they are miles better than the stock SR/ SR5 Hitachi units. For $100 and DIY install there is no better deal. The billies are surprisingly good for a stock unit- of course the aftermarket has better choices though because they have the freedom to valve for specific use cases.

Thanks! That's actually Inferno Orange, I took it to my friendly local paint shop and gave them the Toyota paint code, and they painted up my hooks.
