I'm looking at a 2003 Xtra Cab, 4x2, 4 cyl Prerunner automatic with 150000 miles on it. What is a good price to pay for this? Seller wants 8k.

Condition is everything from Tacomas to Craigslist escorts.

This truck has three strikes 4 cylinder, 2WD prerunner and automatic, but like CL escorts there's someone that will climb on top of ole smokey just because they showed up.

I'd hold out for a v6 if you're going for a double cab, and for a double cab auto is your only choice for trans unless it's been swapped. $8k will get you more truck if you're patient.

Not sure what those go for in your area, but for a 4x2 4banger with 150k that sounds high to me.

    Pretty much stock right now
That's high for a 4x2, but condition is a big factor. I disagree that the combo of that truck is a strike out - it all depends upon what you are going to do with it, and your realistic expectations for a 2.7L A/T.

Not a problem. I will tell you I could have gotten at least a grand more had I held out. I needed it gone quick and took like the thirds or so offer all within an hour of posting on CL.
