    Hi everyone,

I just received a few quotes for window tinting, so far looks like $200.00 is the low bidder for my 2007 DC. (No sliding window) Looking to go 20-25% all around, given these guys are cool with doing it (MA legal limit is 35% all around)

    The material is called "Llumar"

Anyone have this stuff installed? This company guarantees it for life, no chipping, cracking, bubbling, peeling, turning purple, etc.

Are there other types of material better than this, that are worth paying for, even though I'll have a lifetime guarantee?

llumar is a very common film used for tinting. Probably the most widely used imo.

You have more expensive alternatives that offer a ceramic tint like Huber Optik. These can run double the cost in certain applications though.

Btw, to answer your question, you would be fine w/ Llumar. I've had that film on plenty of my vehicles. The price increase for HO would be only for less heat transfer in to the cabin. Probably not worth the cost in Mass.
