2005 Toyota Tacoma headlight switch

Does anyone know what steps your truck goes through when you switch the headlights on, first is they are off and then you switch it once and the tail lights come on, are any lights supposed to come on in the front of the truck? The second time you switch it the headlights come on. If someone could give me some info about it that would be great thank you

 

The front corner marker lights come on in both positions. Those are the only front "park lights". If yours don't light up, the bulbs are burnt out. Pretty common.

 

So those bulbs have nothing to do with my blinkers?

 

Nope. The amber lights next to the grill are the only turnsignals on the front. The ones next to the grill are also daytime running lights, if your truck is set up that way.

 

I don't think it has it unless they are burnt out, so you know what kind of bulbs they are or what they are called specifically? Thanks.
