Completely Stock except for Ranch 5000 Shocks and Struts.
    Hello Everybody,

My family has a 1999 Tacoma 4x4 Extra-cab V6 with a 5-Speed. It has 169,xxx miles on it. When we first bought it 12 years ago, we put Rancho RS5000 shocks and struts on it. We did this when it had 87,xxx miles on it. Does anybody know about how long the Ranchos will last? It passes the bounce test with ease, and it rides well.

    Thank you,
    Paul

I think a quality shock has an average lifespan of at least 100k miles, assuming their mostly normal city/highway miles and not off-road ones. Once you start introducing off-road miles (especially if you're pushing the shock to or past it's limits) the lifespan goes down considerably.

Most maintenance schedules suggest replacing shocks every 50k miles.
