Why you gotta hate on grown men getting excited to meet strangers from the internet in the woods while they offroad and camp together?

My family and girlfriend do too. It's whatever

There's only so many times we can meet in the woods until we aren't strangers anymore

I could find 20 jobs by the end of business hours today that have mon/fri hours.

    @ $25,000 a year LESS money a year than I make now.

How many of those jobs you suppose would include 5 weeks vacation a year?

I LOVE my job. It's the asshole in charge I detest.

    He'll be gone some day.

    I
Hear ya. I often think of starting the job hunt. But I have it pretty good. Can do my entire job from home if something comes up, 5 wks vacation. Great boss. Those things are hard to find. Only reason I would move on is to move up. We are very lean here. Not much room for advancement at the management level.

I have Monday-Friday, 4 Weeks Vacation, 2x matched retirement, and amazing insurance. I'd still like a new job because after every 4-5 years, I'm ready to do something new.

I know the routine by now. During "busy season" it's a minor miracle when I get a vacation day (like today and tomorrow) Most of mine happen between October 1st and April 1st. This is how/why "Black Mountain" ended up as a fall trip.

I may not have much vacation time, which my boss and other's in the company, are pushing to change when you become eligible for it, but I'm pretty much able to take time off at very short notice without issue.

If I didn't like my job so well and all the other perks I get with it, I'd look for one somewhere else. I just bitch about the little things that pick at my psyche daily.

Find you a nice Defense contractor and settle down. Not likely a 25k pay drop, still get 3-5 weeks a year depending on time with, and a soft spot towards hiring vets. Lucked into this in my 20s and will probably not change companies until I retire.

Only caveat is you have to be able to get a clearance

Our sister company, Richwood Investment Castings, has gotten contracts from someone to begin production for M2 .50 machine guns and the FNH SCAR semi-auto
