Ever do it with thighs instead of breasts? Juicier maybe? Maybe too much?

There's a cheap joke in there somewhere...

Mr. @scottalot , what is this bleu cheese slaw you speak of. Bleu cheese dressing and slaw mix? Any vinegar? Sugar?

Doing my crock pot chicken recipe today (with one variation; I brined it last night)- turned it on before I left for work. I'll try to remember to snap a photo when I get home, before I slice it up.

Got this in the crock pot right now. Except the lady friend picked up a bottom round roast instead of chuck "because it was on sale". Saved 3 whole dollars.

And had to skip the jalapenos because someone and her kids don't like jalapenos. Hoping it turns out well. I'll report back.

    Sweet.
FWIW, I typically only follow recipes the first time, to set a baseline. After that I experiment, and what I settle on is almost never what I started with. :notsure:

I thought that everybody in this whole thread was women, since it's about cooking. :notsure:

    A wise man once said...

A man who can't cook for himself is not a real man because he needs a woman in order to eat. A real man needs nothing and provides everything.

Believe it was Steve Martin who said that.

I'm allowed to make that comment, since I do ALL of the gardening/cooking/preserving/canning in my household. The GF has a black thumb and she could burn water if she wasn't paying attention

    Baked Potato Soup

6-8 large russet/golden potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
1 large onion, chopped, about 1 ½ cups
3 (14oz) cans of chicken broth w/ roasted garlic.
    ¼ cup of butter
    2 ½ tsp of salt
    1 ¼ tsp black pepper
    1 cup of whipping cream
1 cup (4oz) shredded cheddar cheese or Monteray Jack
    3 tsp chives (optional)
1 ( 8oz) container of sour cream (optional) or to taste
4-6 bacon slices, cooked & crumbled

    1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a 5 quart slow cooker
    2. Cover & cook on high for about 3 ½ - 4 hrs or on low for 7 until
potatoes are tender (longer time allows for more flavor).
    3. Once done, mash mixture until potatoes are coarsely chopped and
soup is slightly thickened. Stir in cream, cheese & chives. Top with
    sour cream and add bacon.

Usually just add enough cheese for my taste and a little more cream than
what the recipe calls for. Any potato does well but prefer golden or white.
If your not a big garlic fan, substitute a can of regular chicken broth.
