    Hey guys,
I have a 2012 DCSB with a 3" icon lift. About 4 months ago I hit a wheel someone had dropped on the freeway. It ripped off my driveshaft among some other things.

When I took it to the dealer, they replaced my drive shaft and my rear leaf packs. About a month ago, I noticed a lot of stuttering when accelerating from a stop, so I took it in to the dealership again. They said it was the carrier support bearing, to which I said "you replaced that 4 months ago, it shouldn't be worn out already". They agreed to fix it once, but said anything after this would be on my dime.

With all that said, I really don't want to be replacing bearings every 4 months. What O did not think about was maybe I needed a driveline spacer for the driveshaft? The dealer seems like to like to play dumb with anything aftermarket, so they were no help.

Can the driveshaft still be installed even if a spacer kit is needed (yet not installed)?

I still get small vibrations coming from the back when accelerating from a stop. What I'm really trying to avoid is having this happen again in a couple months, so any ideas/advice would be great! Thanks!

Yes you can still install the driveshaft, with or without, a drop kit. I just read a thread earlier about a center support to help w/ vibes. I forget the mfg...lemme try to find it real quick.

just grab some washers and longer bolts from the hardware store.... maybe 5 bucks in hardware then you can fine tune the amount of CB drop your truck needs.

Typical starting point is about half an inch of drop.

I have Dakars and i had to drop by CB 3/4 of an inch to make it better, but there is still a slight vibration around 7 mph. But yeah longer bolts and washer to find the sweet spot.

Are you referring to a differential drop kit? Or driveline spacers?
