i want to put usb and aux-in inside upper console bin.
i need to route cable concealed.

my only idea is to run cable along inside console,
penetrate upper bin at pivot then mount ports on very back wall.

i dont know how to get the bin out from pivots.

OR where to see a diagram..

    thx

Oh ok I've actually done what ur doing before. I installed lights into my cup holders, upper and lower compartments.

You have to completely disassemble the center console. There are a few bolts to have to remove from the bottom. You can then remove the black buckets that actually hold your stuff. Are you using a USB port or just a cable?

I personally like to cut the aux/USB cords so I don't have to drill a huge hole to get it through then connect them together with probably soilder and heat shrink

By completely taking the center console apart you can route you wires along the sides or any route you like. I used these zip tie holders with 3m tape pads on the back. The wire going from the bottom compartment to the top compartment goes through a hole a drilled in the very rear where the top compartment pivots. Just make sure u allow enough length for when the top compartment is completely in the back position it doesn't pull on the wire

The cup holders look brighter than they are. The upper and lower containers are the perfect about of light especially when I'm trying to find something. I can find anything easily

No I went to a electrical surplus place and bought a spool of led strips cut to length and appoxyed the strips to the inside so the leds are pushed into the holes i made. Just had to soilder the wires to the leds so they all come on with a switch I have on Pannel inside the truck
