After doing this shit for so many years, now I try to balance the "fun" of plowing through a big mud hole against the "fun" of rushing through a major repair in the summer heat so I can get to work the next day. Funny how the second part tempers the first part so you start looking for ways around the mud holes.

My "peak" of fun in the mud was all the way back to 1983. I had one of my Jeeps.....The CJ7 with small block Chevy power, almost 9" of lift, Dana 44 front end, Dana 60 rear, both narrowed to match stock Jeep track width. 38"'s at that point (Finally put 44"'s on it before I sold it) , winch, a really cool leather interior, 3-tone candy apple red paint, Alpine stereo, etc....For the day, one hell of a wild ride....We were running a trail about 30 miles north of Louisville, in Borden Indiana. It was named "Flower Gap". Some of the holes were legendary. "Harry's Hole", "Drivetrain Alley", "Pine Trees".... The biggest of which was known to us locals as "Lake Erie". I had this screamin' hot little blonde with me. I figured nothing would impress her more about "muddin'" that to shoot Lake Erie.

Well....We made it through...at the expense of flooding the interior. I LITERALLY had water coming out the cassette slot in the stereo, and muddy water pouring out the heater ducts. At one point, water was almost waste deep to us in the Jeep.

    It was never the same.

My wife at that time found out about the blonde. That situation was never quite the same again either.

Any mud/water over the hubs brings back memories of that event. So when I drive AROUND a deep mud hole, you'll have some background as to why.

There are things I take the 5th amendment when the subject comes up.

Then there are things (like the above) that enough people know about it, no sense in pretending it never happened. Most of those events were the direct result of alcohol AND women. I'd be a millionaire if it weren't for those two things.

2 days off work. Slept an extra 3 hours. I NEVER do that. Must have needed the rest. Today I'll cut the grass then call financial advisor. Gonna get into the savings. Plan is to pay off remaining dr bills, and get extra to do sliders, bumper(s) and winch. Gotta see how this effects retirement plan.

Tomorrow will be couch potato day.

Not what I wanted to hear
The way I set up the 3 components of my retirement plan won't allow me to access funds while still working.

    More reason to retire early.

This WAS the day I planned on installing the 887's. Then I slept until 8AM. (Never do that) Woke up and looked @ weather forecast. Headed to 98 degrees.

885's looking better for the time being.

Was it the ARB or OME only sticker you wanted?

I was gifted an OME sticker, that I won't use because yellow and I won't have OME on my truck, so it can be yours.
