Top mount intercoolers are horribad...albeit, better than nothing.

3.0 diesel, turbo, intercooler, functioning scoop. None of which are in our market, and you pick on where the intercooler is installed?

Probably up front is better from a maximum cooling position. But maybe not the best position for an actual off road vehicle.

But hey, at least it's not a fake scoop.

    Fake scoops must die.

I'm hating on the location because I'm on my 2nd vehicle with a top mount. 88 RX-7 Turbo II and now a Mazdaspeed6 (both with functional scoops). In stop and go traffic, similar to going slow on the trail, there is no airflow for it to function. Then when you want to romp on it, you cant. It's so dang hot from hanging out on top of a furnace.

But I digress. Bad intercooling on a diesel pretty much only effects power output capability.
